Has any one had any experience with organizing and annotating gel images in OMERO? we are just now starting to look into this for our users, but we are curious how well OMERO has worked with gel images for others.
Thank you,

Hi Cindy,

I am on the OME team in a usability role for the development of the software. So I am always wanting to speak with people who use OMERO and wish to push the software further with their use as it is both beneficial for the use and development of the software.

If the gel images are a format, you would like to use within OMERO I would be more than happy to discuss this with you to see how we may be able to help support your work through OMERO. So please feel free to get in touch.

Many thanks,

Scott Loynton

We have been running a pilot program for OMERO for a few months now with one lab, but we are about to start introducing more labs. Some of these labs process a lot of gels, more so than microscopy images. I've played around with some of the gel images and .tiffs and .gels work fine, but .l2ds have failed to import. Those are the three major file types used here. If you guys can get .l2d files to work that would be awesome.
Thank you!
Cindy

We can certainly fix .l2d import, but in order to do so we'll need to see one of the failing datasets.

I have just sent you a private message which explains how to send a complete dataset to the OME team. If you could please upload a dataset (or forward the information to someone else who can), that would be much appreciated.
