Hi team,

At the Users meeting, the FPBioimage guys from Cambridge (see: http://fpb.ceb.cam.ac.uk/) showed their nice 3D visualizer and I believe it was Will who was able to rapidly wrap that up so it could pull images directly from OMERO. That was quite impressive and I was wondering whether such functionality may be rolled out soonish for the community to use? Or if there are some "do this at your own risk" instructions, I'd like to try fiddling with it.

Cheers,
- Damir

Dear Damir
The version presented at the user meeting is already available from PyPI
https://pypi.python.org/pypi?:action=di ... fpbioimage
We have deployed the application here in Dundee and scientists are using it.
We have made some small changes since version 0.1 but we have not yet included ROI support as mentioned by few people during the meeting.

Cheers

Hi Jmarie,

That is great and thanks. Funny that you just announced the new version 0.2 only a few hours after my post. I installed that and indeed it works well. With FPBioimage for 3D and the new iviewer for most regular visualization, we're getting a great set of visual exploration tools. Very powerful.

Thanks,
- Damir
