Insight: add key-value pair to read-annotate group failed

Postby sukunis » Fri Apr 20, 2018 8:51 am

Hi,

with Omero 5.3.5 the creation of a key-value pair annotation to a read-annotate group failed in insight without error message or log notification.
In OMERO.web it works.

Best regards

Hi Susanne,

is there a way to replicate that or was it rather a random error? I couldn't replicate it with Insight 5.4.5, and as far as I know there were no changes with respect to key-value annotations between the versions. I know however that especially when connected to a slow responding server, quickly switching between images while editing metadata, can sometimes cause an issue so that an edited value does not get stored in time. Maybe that was a case like that?

Hi Dominik,

on the Friday of my first post I could reproduce the behavior consistently. But today - of course - not.
But I don't think it was because of a slow responding server. Otherwise the key-values would be visible today, I think.
Maybe it was a random day error... :D

Thank you for your tests and answer!
Regards
Susanne
