Hello All,

Thanks for the excellent help and suggestions.

I followed this tutorial (https://bitbach.wordpress.com/2014/08/2 ... ntu-14-04/) on upgrading postgres 9.1 to 9.3 and other than switching the ports for 9.3 to the default 5432 the upgrade process went perfectly.

I then was able to upgrade the Omero database without any problems and now am running 5.1.2.

I removed postgres 9.1 and the associated client as well.

Again, your help has been fantastic.

We are seriously considering putting OMERO into a production environment and when the time comes, I'm sure to have need of your help again,
