Request: Python API converted to Python3

Postby clays » Mon Aug 07, 2017 10:16 am

Any relevant client-side data processing done in python will likely be in Python3. The need to switch interpreters/environments in order to interact with OMERO is fairly interruptive as is rewriting code for Python2.

Thanks for the request, Clay. We're certainly aware of the need to add Python 3 support and would love to find the time to get it behind us. Anyone else who is interested should feel free to comment on https://trello.com/c/ZE3Cv4uv/111-request-convert-python-api-to-python3

Cheers,

Can a GitHub repo for the API be added to get started on this? I might try the Futurize conversion tool as a first attempt.
