When trying to import pictures located on a network drive that has a DFS (Microsoft Distributed File System) it does not work. You get the message ""cannot use shortcut from selection box""

The workaround is to create a shortcut on your desktop to a location deeper in the DFS location.
It would be nice though if we could just use the common network location ...

maybe something for future releases?

If you need more info just ask.

Best,
Raf

On Windows we really only support network volumes that are mounted as drives. Navigating through shortcuts, or shortcuts that appear on the left hand side of the Windows Vista or Windows 7 file chooer to random UNC paths is not something we can support at present due to the way the Java file chooser navigates and works with those paths.

Perhaps you could elaborate a bit more as to the setup, which versions of Windows, how you're getting to the shares, etc.?
