[Solved] Sharing Project and Dataset

Hi all,

I have a question for sharing project and dataset.
Currently, I installed insight and importer applications.
I uploaded sample images files under 'Image Analysis' project, and under 'EmoryTCGA' dataset by using root account.
The problem is that other users (I gave other users collaboration permissions) can not see 'image Analysis' project on the lists on Hierarchies view...!!
How I can make other folks to see and share those images ?

I created a group, which is 'public' and assigned each user into public group.
public group permission is Collaborative (rwrw--) !!

It would be great help if you give me any feedback.

Thanks,
Steve Oh

Please know that data in a group may at most be shared with users in the same group on the same OMERO server. The degree to which their data is available to other members of the group depends on the permissions settings for that group. Whenever a user logs on to an OMERO server, they are connected under one of their groups. All data they import and work that is done is assigned to the current group and cannot be moved to another group.

For more details about permissions please go to http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/server/permissions

To be specific - Your problem is that the root user was not logged in to the same group that you have created for your collaborators when the data was imported.

Unfortunately you cannot move data between groups at the moment (future work), so you will probably have to re-import the data into the collaborative group.

Will.

Thanks for your comments.
I changed group and reimported those images again.
It seems to work fine !!
