Normalise image intensities in Thumbnails

Hi,

Would it be possible to normalise or stretch the intensities of the Thumbnails in the workspace?

The reason I am asking is because when viewing images of a Screen using OMERO Insight, the Thumbnails apear black. The uploaded images are multichannel 16bit, so I wonder if there could be an automatic intensity setting so that the images can be seen?

Thanks!

Jordi

Hi Jordi,

OMERO calculates the rendering settings (min/max) automatically on import (unless explicitly told otherwise). If that doesn't give a usable result, i.e. black thumbnail, you can always manually adjust the rendering settings (in the 'Preview' tab or full image viewer) on one image and apply these renderings settings to all images in the screen ('Save to All'). You can also copy/paste these rendering settings to multiple screens.

Dominik

Hi Dominik,

Thanks for the quick reply!

For some reason, the Preview tab doesn't work on my OMERO insight, at least from the Workspace.

I'm probably missing something, but how can I copy paste the rendering settings? I already don't see where to copy them from :D

Thanks again!

Best,

Jordi

The "Preview" tab is only avaible when an image is selected. I guess you only selecetd the well (which is shown in the upper half of the central panel). The fields (images) of the well are shown in the bottom half. Try to select one of these, then the Preview tab should become enabled.
