omero.cli error

Postby nabila.elarouci » Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:33 pm

Hi Josh,

I wonder if you could help me with this problem: when trying to connect omero server with omero.cli, I got the error message below:
File "./omero", line 32
print "FATAL: Running %s as root can corrupt your directory permissions." % sys.argv[0]
^
SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("FATAL: Running %s as root can corrupt your directory permissions." % sys.argv[0])?

in fact, I have reinstalled the omero.cli but still have the same problem!! what wrong with that, please?

best wishes

Hi Nabila,

OMERO requires Python 2.7. This looks like you are using Python 3.

Hi Nabila,

how did you set the default? Until
Code: Select all
python -V
shows 2.7 in the terminal where you're trying to run ./omero you'll keep seeing the same problem.

Hi Josh,
Code: Select all
python -V
Python 2.7.12

but still have :

Code: Select all
bin/omero
  File "bin/omero", line 32
print "FATAL: Running %s as root can corrupt your directory permissions." % sys.argv[0]
                                                                            ^
SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("FATAL: Running %s as root can corrupt your directory permissions." % sys.argv[0])?

thanks for your support

Dear Nabila,

What does this report?
Code: Select all
/usr/bin/env python -V

Cheers,
Mark
