Hey,

I have a problem : my omero server is not responding after a few minutes.

My omero version is OMERO.server-4.4.6-ice33-b102.zip

I start it : omero admin start then omero web start

Every thing is ok : omero user and ldap user.

And with web client or insight I can not connect to the server after few minutes.
If you have some ideas, i'm ready to try it.
Thank you.
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Can you please attach a zip of the server logs from: OMERO-DIRECTORY/var/log

And the output of:
OMERO-DIRECTORY/bin/omero diagnostics

Additionally the output of the following commands may also be useful

ps auxf

df -h

Many thanks,

Kenny

Hi Kenny,

Thank you for replying.

Files you asked me for are too big to be uploaded here. You can find it here :

https://bioimagerie.univ-rennes1.fr/tmp/omero

My omero is @ https://bioimagerie.univ-rennes1.fr/omero but not responding

Thanks again.

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Your Blitz.log contains: "No such experimenter: root" - If OMERO doesn't know about the user root, it may be that the database bootstrap script has not been run?

Can you please try to create a fresh postgres database, and run the database script generation from OMERO and apply this to your newly created postgres DB:

See the installation documentation, near the bottom:

https://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/sup ... linux.html:
You can now configure the empty PostgreSQL database using Omero’s db script. You can accept the defaults for the first few values and enter a suitable password as required when prompte....

Best,

Kenny

Hi Kenny,

Sorry for my late reply.

After your message, i remembered i renamed the root user with my login : not a good idea apparently.
So i changed my login with "root" and after that the problem was solved.

However Omero root session allow the root user to change the root name which should not be done...

Thank you so much.
Kind regards,
Jonathan

Agreed, Jonathan. I've filed a ticket for the exemption here: https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/11150.

Cheers & sorry for the confusion.
