.ND2 file bug?

Postby kzaslavsky » Wed Jan 22, 2014 9:47 pm

Hi all,

I seem to have stumbled on a bug with .ND2 files. I acquire a series of 3D images that get stored in one .ND2 file. However, when I open them using either the most recent stable loci_tools or the RC5, either in Fiji or using bfopen in Matlab, I can only open the first series.

However, if I use NIS Elements Viewer, I can view all of the series. For now, i just export the series as tif files and work with them in matlab that way, so it's really only a minor inconvenience.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this really a bug? If so, is it easily fixable?

Thanks

Hi,

Just to confirm your message, you failed open all series using either Bio-Formats 4.4.10 or 5.0.0-rc1. Is that correct? If neither the current stable version nor 5.0.0-rc1 can open the file, then it would be very helpful if you could upload an example to:

That's correct. I will upload the file once I have a faster connection (tonight), as it's fairly big (sorry).

Thanks

Do we have your upload? I just wanted to make sure it hadn't fallen through the cracks. If there is a problem uploading in the usual way, we can probably arrange an alternative.

Cheers,
Mark
