bug in insight?

Postby mahogny » Wed Jan 19, 2011 1:00 pm

insight version 4.2.2 (server 4.2.0, not updated yet)

showing a picture (double click) first time shows it right.

then opening the preview to the right, and again showing picture (double click) will show an altered picture. it has jpeg artifacts. I can't think this is anything but a bug right? it is not server-side, that is confirmed. restarting insight solves the problem.

what is probably happening:
when viewing the image in the preview, the image is compressed and probably not reset when opening the full viewer. The renderer is shared. Could you check the compression level when you open the viewer?

What is the size of your image?
depending of the size of the image, the image is retrieved using the thumbnail service (jpeg)

Thanks for your feedback

I expected something like that. I suspected the preview window had another compression level but it got cached once opened in the viewer. I played around a bit and updating to the 4.2.2 server appears to have fixed the problem! thanks!
