Problems with image files after upload

Postby lefeeney » Wed Mar 09, 2016 12:57 pm

Hi all,

I have encountered a rather strange problem when uploading my most recent dataset to OMERO insight. I have a set of files in which there are multiple (different) images of each sample, labelled sequentially e.g. WT 24, WT 24 (2), WT 24 (3), etc. When I upload these and open them, each file from the same sample is the same image, although they still have different names - this is true for all my samples, but each sample is different from the others. I have done the same experiment several times before, labelling my images in the exact same way, and I have never come across this problem. Essentially, I now have 5 copies of one image instead of the 5 different images I took, and I have no idea why!

Hope that explanation makes some kind of sense... any suggestions on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Laura

PS. I opened my files in ImageJ and they are different images, so there is definitely no problem with the files themselves.

Hi,

Could you please send us a a selection of the files using http://qa.openmicroscopy.org.uk/qa/upload/, to allow us to replicate this behaviour.

Many thanks,

Kenny

Hi,

Thank you for uploading your file.
The issue was reproducible locally and we have filed a ticket for the same,
https://trac.openmicroscopy.org/ome/ticket/13173#ticket

A fix for the same should most probably be available, in the next stable release of Bio-Formats (Bio-Formats 5.1.9).

Best,
Balaji
