Accessing OMERO.web from OMERO Appliance

Postby icaoberg » Wed Oct 24, 2012 7:29 pm

I modified the OMERO Appliance and now I would like to access the omero.server in the appliance using web browser because I modified some templates in OMERO.web :o

Do you have any documentation on how to do this? I have seen documentation on how to access that omero.server using the omero.insight, but my changes won't be seen in there :geek:

Hi Ivan,

The OMERO Virtual Appliance is set up with port forwarding, so that it can be accessed like a service bound to a specific port of the local host. The default Virtual Appliance setup binds OMERO.web to port 8080.

The documentation located under http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/users/virtual-appliance.html#omero-web outlines how to work with OMERO.web that is run from the Virtual Appliance.

I hope that solves your issue,

Regards,
Blazej
