Accent in the name of the image

Postby MLB » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:17 am

Hello,
I work with OMERO the 3.3 version ...
Just for your information :
I notice that in the dropbox if we put images with accent, it will not be automatically import.
With Omero.insight we can import images with a name with accents.

Hi Marie Laure,

Can I just check exactly what is happening here? Does the image with the accented name fail to import at all? Or does it import okay but lose the accent?

Thanks,

Colin

Hi Colin,
The image with the accented name fail to import.
We didn't configure in dropbox parameters the report by email. So, I can't give you more information about the error.

Hi Marie Laure,

Thanks for the reply. I've raised a ticket to investigate and fix this:

https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/9194

If you'd like to be cc'ed on this ticket so that you can be updated on its progress let me know. If you have the log files from when an import failed because of an accented image name than those would be useful. The two files that would help are MonitorServer.log and DropBox.log

Thanks,

Colin

It seems to be OK for now.
OK to be on CC for the track.
I have log files, if you want them.

Thanks for the logs (sent privately) I'll look into whether accents are causing any problems. If you have other failed imports then let me know.

It wasn't due to the accent.
Somebody else having test at the same time... and in fact it was due to the accent.

Hi Marie Laure,

Do you mean that another user has a failed DropBox import because of an accent in the file name? If that is the case then can you please send the logs to me?

Thanks,

Colin
