Auto-remove ID info from images?

Postby squarepegsys » Thu Aug 16, 2012 6:30 pm

For HIPA compliance we don't want to store any patient identification information from the images we import. Some commercial products we have looked at does this.

Is there a way for us to do this? I can write a Python script for it, but am wondering if someone else already has this.

What file format and how is the patient information currently stored?

The format is a TIFF image that has a whole slide, where the top part is the patient information and the bottom part is the actual slide. When I imported it into a commercial product we are demoing, it only shows the slide part, not the patient info.

Understood. Unfortunately, there's nothing in the vanilla install of OMERO that can help you. Community, what'cha got?

Cheers,
~Josh.
