can't draw ROIs with iViewer

Hello,

I have installed iViewer on our test server. I can view images but I cannot draw ROIs. When I select an ROI tool the cursor does change its function and continues working as the select tool.

Any suggestions?

Jay

To draw a shape e.g. Rectangle, you have to click to start and click to stop. Not drag (as you do with other libraries).
This is because the drag is used to pan the image.
It's the way that OpenLayers works (which is the ROI library we're using).

I hope that's the only problem.
I know it's not that intuitive and takes a bit of getting used to, but it kinda makes sense in some ways.
I tried to highlight the behaviour on the video at https://www.openmicroscopy.org/omero/iviewer/

Hope that helps,

Will.

Thank you. That works great.

I do have another issue, however. Max projection does not seem to work. Should I create a new topic?

Hi Jay,
I assume you're working with a tiled image? Unfortunately Z-projection doesn't work on tiled images and this issue is not just in iviewer. It needs fixing in the underlying webgateway.

I'll add your feedback to that ticket and we'll try to address it soon.

UPDATE: As far as I can see, the OMERO Rendering Engine doesn't support rendering a region AND projection yet, so this will need a fix in the server and an API change (a major release) so this won't be fixed as soon as I'd hoped I'm afraid.

Will.
