Our laboratory is motivated to create a 4D image gallery like JCB DataViewer or ASCB CELL Library. How it is possible to use this envireonnement for creating our own gallery. Small point, using JCB DataViewer or ASCB CELL Library is quite slow. Why ?
Installing an OMERO server is typically used at the scale of a laboratory or a department. Do you know one case with a database at a national level for example? Probably with a good broadband network connection and dedicated ?
The examples you mention are certainly "national level" and run on dedicated hardware with very good network connectivity. With respect to performance it highly depends on where you are, your network connection and the data you're accessing.
