Measurement tool for images larger than 2000x2000 pixels

Postby jvhemert » Mon Aug 01, 2011 8:12 am

What is the rationale for limiting the measurement tool to images of 2000x2000 pixels or less?

Can this limit be increased when installing OMERO.Server ?

Cheers,
Jano

There are some technical issues that don't allow the measurement tool to scale to big images in it's current format. Mostly due to the fact that it pulls down an entire plane from the server in order to provide raw pixel values within ROIs, histograms etc.

We are planning on addressing these issues, but have not scheduled a timetable yet
