SPIDER reading

Postby coss » Tue May 01, 2012 3:42 pm

Dear developers,

I have a SPIDER (Electron Microscopy) volume that is incorrectly read by bioinformats. It seems that it cannot take correctly the header size. The volume is 180Mb, so I'll have to upload it somewhere. The version of bioformats is the one I downloaded yesterday from your web page.

Could you suggest me how to proceed so that you can test on this volume.

Kind regards, Carlos Oscar

Hi Carlos,

I have a SPIDER (Electron Microscopy) volume that is incorrectly read by bioinformats. It seems that it cannot take correctly the header size. The volume is 180Mb, so I'll have to upload it somewhere. The version of bioformats is the one I downloaded yesterday from your web page.

Note that there are three versions of Bio-Formats available for download: the "trunk" (latest development version), "daily", and "stable" versions. Do you know which one you selected? If it was anything other than the "trunk" build, then please do try downloading and using that one, as it contains all of the latest fixes.

Could you suggest me how to proceed so that you can test on this volume.

The best thing to do is to upload the file (instructions sent in a private message), and let us know what the expected dimensions are. Once we have that, we will go to work fixing the problem.

Regards,
-Melissa
