Requesting a new Bio-Format for LivingImage (PerkinElmer)

Postby njenning » Tue Jul 02, 2013 4:23 pm

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and to the OME community (forgive my ignorance).

I'm wondering if anyone can answer whether or not there is a forum somewhere out there to post requests on developing new Bio-Formats. Specifically, we'd like OMERO to read in tiff files generated by a software application called LivingImage (PerkinElmer). The IVIS 200 optical imaging system outputs (generally) 3 tiff files, and OMERO only reads them in as separate files, whereas LivingImage reads them in as an overlay.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone has come across a similar issue (with LivingImage or the need to create a composite overlay from several different images) with OMERO or Bio-Formats.

Thanks in advance, and kind regards,
Nicki

This is the correct forum for posting new format requests.

The best thing to do is to send at least one complete dataset, so that we can test the new reader (or changes to an existing reader). Datasets may be uploaded as Zip files to:

http://qa.openmicroscopy.org.uk/qa/upload/

If that does not work, please let me know and I will send alternate instructions privately.

Hi Nicki,

Thank you for submitting data to the OME QA system. There is now a ticket on our issue tracking system to add support for this data:

https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/11379

You will be automatically notified of any updates to that ticket.

Regards,
-Melissa
