OME on Holiday til Jan 4

Postby jrswedlow » Thu Dec 21, 2017 7:17 pm

Dear All-

It’s been another great year for OME. Lots and lots (and lots!) more users, several new releases, a lot of excitement about IDR, and several meetings, training workshops and hackathons where we met all kinds of users and developers. It’s great to see so many people using our technology and great to have all the feedback. This all leads to great ideas for work in the upcoming year. We have a lot planned, and as keeps happening, lots more users and communities to work with.

Thanks to all of you for your questions, comments, help, example files. OME completely depends on its interactions and feedback with the community and your ongoing support of the project is our critical for our continued utility and success. This year, special thanks go to Kai Schleicher for the last comment of the year (“OMERO is awesome!”).

So, it’s time for the OME team to take a couple of well-earned weeks off. We won’t be regularly monitoring the OME Forums, the mailing lists, or IRC until January 4. Once we come back, it might take us a day or so to get up to speed. And in case you were wondering, there will be no Bio-Formats releases with file format fixes over the next few weeks. ;)!

The whole team wishes all of you a happy, safe, relaxing few weeks, and if you are on holiday, a great celebration with you and yours.

Thanks again to all.

Cheers,

Jason
