I had tried to import the same image two times with a different name : A1.tif and 1.tif.
Omero imported the A1.tif but refuse to import 1.tif

My question is : Why

Hi Marie Laure,

thanks for sending the images files (files sent privately). Both files import without a problem for me using a 4.3.3 server and client.

Could I check a few more details of how you imported them? Were there any other files in the same directory as the two test files? If so, can you try putting the two files in a separate directory with no other files and then import them from that location?

I had created two copies of an image : A1.tif and 1.tif

Could I check a few more details of how you imported them?

From O.I, I Import the two files from the same folder.

Were there any other files in the same directory as the two test files?

Yes.
If so, can you try putting the two files in a separate directory with no other files and then import them from that location?

I tried with 2 folders : one for 1.tif an an other for A1.tif

And I had the same error.

I think that file format are in contraction with name. ... but how ?
Thank you for your help and explanation.

Hi Marie Laure,

Thanks for the reply. Looking into this I have now managed to reproduce the problem and it looks like there is a bug when the filename is numeric. I have raised a ticket:

https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/9273

I can CC you to this ticket if you wish.

Cheers,

Colin
