  • Testing a few zarr submissions ahead of next release planning
• OMERO
  • Andreas: OMERO.web release: https://www.openmicroscopy.org/2025/08/13/omero-web-5.29.2.html
  • JM: ansible update to support latest version for idr deployment and omero-test-infra. Need to work with python 3.12.
  • Django 5 update (Andreas). Need to change default pickle option
• Bio-Formats (Melissa)
  • working on docs and 8.4.0
  • Need discussion on how to manage image.sc tracking
    • Josh: image.sc assignment a pain to use
• NGFF
  • TechDev (Will)
    • Import (register.py): Create a Fileset and import .zarr/OME/METADATA.ome.xml if it exists: omero-import-utils #23 (Will)
    • BioFile Finder: searchengine loading up to 2 million images to BFF (Khaled). Will: on idr-testing, loaded idr0016 (900k images, 5 mins) but BFF failing to expand groups (Group by Compound Name)
      • JM: feedback to BFF team
    • Python: ome-zarr-py 0.12.0 released (zarr v3 and OME-Zarr v0.5). Getting feedback from users: e.g PR #474 to be 0.12.1. Also https://github.com/ome/ome-zarr-py/issues/477 problem is less clear
      • omero-cli-zarr update to zarr v3 requires omero-test-infra update (see above)
  • Specs (Josh)
    • RFC-2: Johannes is looking at the dangling versions in https://github.com/ome/ngff/issues/322
    • RFC-5: Holding pattern
    • ZEP10: late night AU-US-EU meeting on Wednesday
